Water Jet Cutting

Waterjet cutting is the one of the main services that Campo Sheet Metal offers.

Water Jet cutting will cut just about any material & almost any thickness, the limit on material thickness is the height that the cutting head can rise above the table, which in our applications is 8".  At times it has been necessary to fabricate a cradle to be support the part below table height, this has allowed the machine to cut parts up to 12" thick. 

Currently there are 2 CNC controlled water jet cutting machines in Campo Sheet Metal facilities. The larger machine is a Farley Nautilus Cutting Machine with six Ingersol Rand Water Jet cutting heads and a up to 200hp of 60ksi cutting pressure.  The cutting window on this machine is 12' x 45', large part size is not a limitation.  The other machine is a smaller single head machine that is powered by a 90ksi KMT pump on a Hydrajet Water Jet Cutting machine with a single cutting head. The cutting window on tehis table is approximately 72"x 120".    

With the large cutting tables we have in our facilites large water jet cut parts are not a problem. We can cut a single large part or a quantity of parts from a large sheet.  The only limit on size of the water jet cut parts is the cutting window,13' x 45'.

We offer a variety of edge finishes for water jet cutting, ranging from an extra coarse finish all the way to an extra fine finish to suit our customer's needs. Another offering with water jet cutting at Campo Sheet Metal is multiple head cutting. With mulitple head cutting high volumes of parts are cut efficiently and at lowers costs per part as compared to single head cutting.

A third Water Jet Cutting Machine is in the works, it is currently being upgraded and retro-fitted by Ward Jet, this machine will have a 15' wide cut area and automatic height sensing.  The following link is to the new retrofitted and custom built water jet machine fabricated by Ward Jet, that will be in soon be in operation at our facility.  This machine has 6 seperate cutting heads all with automatic height sensing and crash protection.
