Plate Rolling

Campo Sheet Metal used to do very little plate/sheet rolling , there was only a small 14 Ga. 4' mechanical roll and 5/16" 10' roll located in our facility.  With the recent acquisition of Reed Young Co.. we have greatly expanded the capabilities of plate rolling we are able to offer, we can now roll material up to 3" thick under certain circumstances, when the cylinders are very short in length.  We are able to roll 1-1/2" plate 120" wide and 2" plate almost 60" wide. (All of the preceding capacitites are based on mild steel, different grades of material will vary from this)

With the joining of Reed Young Co. with Campo Sheet Metal, we now have a total of 8 plates rolls with a variety of sizes and capacities.

We can roll steel plate for pressure vessels , tanks, cylinders, and a variety of other applications. Forming cones can be a challenging effort. We specialize in the rolling and fabrication of cones and transitions in single or multiple gores. We have rolled a large range of materials such as stainless steel, copper, titanium and other reactive metals. We are the only company in the gulf coast region with hard chrome plated rolls to reduce the possibility of contamination of alloy plate.  With the variety of plate rolling equipment in our facilities we have a rolling option to fit your budget and needs. 

We strive to provide our customers with the highest quality plate rolling available. We work to a shop tolerance of +/- 1/8" for roundess, before cylinders are sent to the customer they are checked for roundness to help ensure quality.  We also roll our cylinders without flats where the long seam meets.  We also employ experienced plate roll operators as another measure of helping to ensure high quality work.
